Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, Today i was working out with weights and doinb floor work. I felt my right upper back/shoulder blade hurt in the middle but finished my workout. When i got home i couldn`t move my back, right arm or neck. After icing it i can move my arm a little but im still in alot of pain.
I am sorry for the painful situation you are going through.
Unfortunately, working out with weights and going floor work can result to work-overload for the muscles of the spine/upper back/shoulder blade.
Possibly, you've experienced pulled muscles (sprain). Continue with icing for a couple of days. Then, alternating cold and warm compresses.
Apply analgesic cream locally. Take oral pain killers. Try to avoid over-moving. But, keep on doing simple movements/exercises for the shoulder blade and upper back.
If no improvement, should consult with an orthopedic specialist to rule out more serious issues.
Wish fast recovery.
